The Plot (from Wikipedia)
Smart and promising medical student Kang Ma-ru (Song Joong-ki) has been in love all his life with his slightly older next-door neighbor Han Jae-hee (Park Si-yeon), a television reporter. He is an adoring boyfriend and she always considered Ma-ru her home. But when her situation takes a turn for the worse and Jae-hee becomes desperate to escape poverty, she meets a man who changes everything—a rich CEO who introduces her to a life of comfort. So she turns her back on Ma-ru, choosing money over love.
The brutal betrayal leaves Ma-ru fractured—not just angry, but a completely changed man. A few years later, Ma-ru is now 30 years old and works as a bartender and gigolo, no longer a "nice guy." He then meets Seo Eun-gi (Moon Chae-won), a young chaebol heiress who's being groomed to take over her father's conglomerate. Eun-gi is cold and calculating, business-savvy, and raised by her father to never show emotion to anyone. But Ma-ru intrigues her, and she becomes curious until she can’t stop thinking about him.
Ma-ru decides to take advantage of her as a pawn in his plans for revenge, and Eun-gi falls in love with him, not knowing that he’s using her to get back at his ex Jae-hee, who happens to be Eun-gi's young, gold-digging stepmother. Just when Ma-ru is beginning to genuinely care for Eun-gi, she finds out the truth and they break up. But a car accident causes Eun-gi to lose her memory, and she enters Ma-ru's life again.

Why did I watch this drama?
I watched this drama because my friend recommended me to watch it, as she had finished the whole drama within a week!! So I started to watch this drama back in the end of June when I finished my exams but I stopped after episode 4 as it was a bit depressing after exams and had left it for months. I started to watch it again in November as I had read some good reviews about it and as I had previously watched Moon Chae Won in Good Doctor [Review Here] I had fallen in love with her acting. This girl is truly amazing, more about the acting after the spoiler alert!

Oh yes, forgot to mention that this is the second melodrama I have watched, the first being Love Rain [Review Here] but definitely the first one that I love. The storyline is quite dramatic but definitely one to watch, and my favourite 2012 drama so far! :)

If you like dramas that are fast paced, tense and the storyline is not just about the love story of the main characters then this is definitely a must watch!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!
What did I think?
So let's start off with the things I loved about this drama:

The first episode. It was so fast paced, so much had happened and I remember thinking after watching it I was like OMG Han Jae Hee is unbelievable and felt so sorry for Kang Ma Roo. But because the first episode was amazing I watched the first 4 episodes within 2 days but then it got a bit depressing so I decided to watch something else to relax for a bit.

The acting was phenomenal, especially Moon Chae Won. She is definitely becoming my favourite Korean actress. The wow factor of her acting was that she portrayed like 4 different characters.

First we had the cold manager who was basically hated everyone and was horrible to everyone, next we had the girl who had been neglected and emotionally abused the one who missed her mother and fell in love with Kang Ma Roo. Next we had the Seo Eun Gi who had lost her memory, she was kind and caring. Last but not least a combination of all the characters that joined together towards the end of the drama. She had the coldness of the first yet still had the caring sides of the third and the love for Kang Ma Roo that the second and third had.

Song Joong Ki, okay so before watching this drama I didn't really think he was that great looking but the more I watched the drama the more attractive he was, not only was he an eye candy was the acting really was truly captivating. Throughout the drama I really felt sorry for him and was seriously hating Han Jae Hee.

Next, Park Si Yeon makeup is beautiful, the purple smoky eye, gorgeous. I do apologise for those of you who are not interested in makeup, I'm a little obsessed when it comes to makeup and is something I always look out for when watching TV >_<

How can we not mention Running Man Presenter Lee Kwang Soo, oh Kwang Soo he made this somewhat depressing melodrama have some comedy highlights.

Random little thing, Danny Ahn from g.o.d made a cameo in this. I didn't know him when he appeared in episode 2 but when he appeared again in episode 15 I was like OMG it's Danny! :D

Another thing that I liked about this drama was that even though there was the good old Kdrama cliche of memory loss, it isn't the main guy who loses his memory but the main girl. Also something that was done well in this drama was that the memory loss was somewhat the main focus of the drama and it allows her to fall in love with Kang Ma Roo, and let him realise that he really does love her and not something like many previous dramas I have watched and memory loss is something they decide to throw in towards the end to ruin things. As I said before because the memory loss of Seo Eun Gi is what other things in the drama revolves around it makes it more important and significant. Unlike other dramas the memory loss is also more realistic as she has some side effects from it, she had lost her basic knowledge of things.

So moving on to things that I didn't like as much. Ok, so let's follow on with the memory loss, though it is portrayed more realistically than other dramas, Seo Eun Gi recovers fully. Ok I know this is drama land and it's fictional but it's so predictable. The audience are waiting for her to recover her memory but they're just waiting for when it will happen. And was it just me or did it mention who put the file with the car accident details on her desk? Was it Han Jae Hee or was it attorney Park?

Next it was a bit unbelievable that Eun Suk would loves his sister when she is so horrible to her. If my sister was like that I would avoid her.

So Jae Hee's brother is meant to be evil right? Or I guess Evil in Jae Hee's eyes but really he just seems to be a guy like Jae Hee and attroney Park and had become bad because of society. Even throughout the drama he seems to be the bad guy with the least threat and least scary, which makes it kind of hard to see why Jae Hee is so scared of him. But I guess it could be explained that she would be scared of him when she was younger, her brother who is greedy and hits her to take money away.

The ending, as much as a happy ending will make everyone happy, it didn't really explain properly how Kang Ma Roo had survived. He must of been found quickly. And surely Seo Eun Gi of noticed that he was bleeding so heavily. But this is a drama so I guess what the audience wants is the main point.

Overall, Innocent Man is definitely a worthwhile drama to watch. Tell me what you think in the comments:)

The Overall Rating: 8/10
